Privacy Policy for GPS Coordinate Tools

About this policy

GPS Coordinate Tools is provided by Aktyva konsaltynh technologies. This policy describes how the current application accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com.

Information accessed and stored

Device location: When you request your position and grant Android location permission, the app accesses latitude, longitude, reported horizontal accuracy when available, and the location reading time. Depending on your permission choice and available providers, the reading may be precise or approximate. The app uses Android GPS and network location providers.

Location requests stop when you leave the Current Coordinates screen, when the Android activity pauses, or after the request's approximately 30-second timeout. The app does not implement background location tracking. The last reading remains temporarily available in the running app. It is not automatically saved as a waypoint; coordinates can become part of saved waypoints or calculation history when you use those features.

Information you enter: The app processes manually entered coordinates, waypoint titles, field notes, and collection names. These may contain personal information depending on what you enter.

Saved information: The app stores waypoints, collections, calculation history, and saved display preferences locally on your device. Calculation history includes the tool used, input coordinates, result, and calculation time. Preferences include coordinate format, distance units, and decimal precision.

The current implementation does not include accounts, advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting services. No app-operated server collection or automatic upload of your coordinates, notes, or calculation history is implemented.

How information is used

The app uses this information to display your position and its reported accuracy and time; convert coordinate formats; calculate distances and initial bearings; organize, search, and reuse waypoints; reopen past calculations; apply your display preferences; and carry out copying, sharing, and CSV exports you request. Manual entry, calculations, and the saved library work offline.

Permissions and your choices

Location access is optional. You can deny or revoke location permission through Android settings and continue using manual entry and other offline features. Android location settings, permission choices, available providers, and signal conditions affect location availability and accuracy.

Sharing, clipboard, and exports

The app shares information when you choose a sharing or export action. Sharing current coordinates sends the displayed coordinates to the app you select through the Android share sheet. Sharing a waypoint sends its title and displayed coordinates. The selected app or recipient then handles that information under its own practices.

Copy actions place the selected coordinates, waypoint text, or calculation result on the system clipboard. Clipboard access and retention depend on your operating system and other permitted software.

CSV exports include waypoint titles, field notes, latitude, longitude, and collection names for the waypoints you select or the collection you export. You choose the destination through Android's document picker. If you choose a cloud-backed destination, that provider may receive and store the exported information under its own policy.

The current source does not implement sales of personal information or automatic sharing with advertising or analytics companies.

Platform services and third-party software

The app uses Android system services for location, permissions, clipboard access, sharing, and document creation. Android location providers may process information according to your device configuration and the provider's practices. The inspected dependencies include AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin libraries; no advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDK was identified.

Android backup is enabled in the application configuration. Depending on your device and backup settings, locally saved app information may be included in operating-system backups or device transfers. Those processes are managed by the platform and your settings, rather than an app-operated synchronization service.

Storage and security

On Android, saved records and preferences are stored in the app's private SharedPreferences storage. The app relies on Android's application storage protections. The current implementation does not add its own encryption layer for saved records.

No app-operated network transmission of stored records is implemented, so there is no app-specific transport-encryption practice to describe. Transfers through location providers, backups, sharing apps, or export destinations depend on those services. No method of storage or transfer can guarantee complete security.

Retention

Waypoints, collections, and preferences remain locally stored until you change or remove them or clear the app's storage. Calculation history retains up to the 200 most recent completed calculations; older entries are removed as new calculations exceed that limit. You can also delete individual history entries or clear all history.

The current location reading is held in running app memory unless its coordinates are saved or used in a recorded calculation. Exported files, shared messages, clipboard contents, and platform backups have separate retention controlled by you, the operating system, or the receiving service.

Deletion and privacy requests

You can delete waypoints in the waypoint editor and remove individual calculations or clear all calculation history in History. Deleting a collection leaves its waypoints in the library as unassigned points; delete those waypoints separately if you want to remove them.

You can clear the app's local records and preferences using Android's app-storage settings. Uninstalling normally removes local app storage, but platform backups or restored data may remain subject to your device and backup settings. Remove exported files and shared copies separately from their destinations.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, email mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. The current app has no account system or app-operated server repository from which the developer can remotely delete your locally stored records. If you contact the developer, your email address and the information you include will be available for handling your request. A specific retention period for that correspondence has not been established in the available information.

Children's privacy

The app provides general coordinate tools and does not implement accounts, advertising, or age collection. Its intended age groups have not been established in the available information. Location readings and saved notes can contain sensitive information regardless of the user's age. Parents or guardians can manage device permissions and remove locally stored information using the controls described above.

Browser preview

If you use the browser preview, saved records and preferences are stored in the browser's local storage rather than Android app storage. Device location is unavailable in that preview. Copying uses the browser clipboard capability, and CSV export requests a browser download. Clear the preview site's browser storage to remove locally saved preview records, and delete downloaded exports separately.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app's features or information handling. Review the current policy when using an updated version of the app.
